The Brightcove Player Chromecast Receiver v4.1.1 is available.

Bug Fixes

• Added detection and recovery from video decoder stalls on the receiver. If playback stalls (a black screen with buffered content but no progress), the receiver now automatically rebuilds its media pipeline to resume playback instead of staying stuck.
• Fixed an issue where the receiver could show a black frame instead of the poster image while a video was loading.
• Improved resilience when a source fails to load: the receiver now backs off between a limited number of retry attempts instead of reloading repeatedly, and a failed video no longer prevents later videos in the same session from casting.
